Gilead has announced that lenacapavir, the game-changing HIV prevention drug just approved by the FDA will cost $28,218 USD per person per year.

Researchers say a generic version could be made for just $25 per person a year.

Capitalism kills.

This is for a very specific community:

Fountain Pen folks: do not buy from Ferris Wheel Press.

ICYMI, they posted an ad on IG for a Harry Potter collab line of pens.

During Pride month.

And if you’re a FWP affiliate? Might want to reevaluate that with your own morals and ethics.

There is no separating the art from the artist. If you buy Harry Potter shit, you are funding transphobic campaigning. It’s that simple.
JK Rowling has emerged from the shadows as a funder of the anti-feminist biology is destiny movement.

Just picked up one of the limited edition Montblanc Around the World in 80 Days Coal Blue inks. Just put it in my new Kaweco Al-Sport Piston 😍
May 13, 2025 at 1:58 PM
We ended up with a Pelikan M200 and a sailor ink :) (limited selection). I got myself a kaweco al-sport piston and a travelers brass at a different store later. Got a j herbin ink, kon peki, and a kyo-iro ink for myself as well
Bluesky Fountain Pen Friends: my friend wants to get a fountain pen for her daughter who hasn’t written with one before. She normally uses the Uniball Zento pens .5-.7mm. What would you suggest? Anything under $100. But not really cheap starters. I think it’s meant to be special.

I cannot convey to you how excited I am to look at fountain pens in the UK this trip and France/spain around Xmas. I’m going to the montblanc store in London for ink and parfum, but I will stare longingly at the pens as well (Too pricey but fun to fantasize about).

Framing the adoption of AI as an historical inevitability, rather than a way to do a thing you want or need done, gives the game away.

Nobody selling it this hard cares whether it helps; they want it to be the thing you have to deal with, like it or not. Problems, solutions, what’s the difference?
Bizarrely framed article about the people (all women) who ‘refuse to use AI’. And a #philosophy professor who says “The moment to opt out of #AI has already passed”. Oh well. That’s that then. 🤷‍♂️ #AIEthics www.bbc.com/news/article...
The people refusing to use AI
Worried about the environment and the loss of skills, some people are resisting the rise of AI.

Fantastic and important piece from @taylorlorenz.bsky.social for @zeteo.com on how Silicon Valley’s disastrous pro-Trump pivot is a cautionary tale about trying to leverage fascism for personal gain.

I need people to stop making massive amounts of tiramisu in unconventional containers as clickbait/for views. It’s so gross. It feels like those tacky ragebait food accounts, except they think the tiramisu is cute/cool/quirky. It just looks like food waste. It repulses me.
