Did anyone else read headlines about people from the BBC resigning over bias and nod their head in understanding only to the look into the details and be surprised that *that* was the reason?

I remember there being a general consensus that it’s only worth reading up to book X of Dune. Can anyone give me their opinions on when that is? I am currently on the third one.

These meetings underscore how much hard work, time and focus volunteer committees put in to keep SF&F fan organisations thriving. It's important to recognise that, and to publicly thank them.
This year’s AGM is now underway in Brighton, with Secretary @davidgreenwriter.bsky.social, Chair @shonak.bsky.social, Treasurer @stewarthotston.com, and Deputy Chair @sianoh.bsky.social presiding.

I am on a coach to Gatwick because I am catching train from there to Brighton. It’s delayed, and loads of people are panicking because they will miss their flights.
Do people really book transport for flights that have no wriggle room for delays? Is this a thing?

I am going to start brewing kombucha again, and – in a full circle moment – the scoby is a actually descendent of mine from years ago. The cafe I used to make it at have continued to brew it since I left, and they gave me a new starter culture.
