Baby girl gave us a scare this weekend. Friday night we popped out to pickup food and came back to find Maelle looking like she was punched in the eye, which then progressed into redness all over her face. The next day she started projectile vomiting and diarrhea so we took her to the ER.

Maelle is home 💖 she flew in from PR on Wednesday, and it has been a WHIRLWIND for the last few days with her. She’s soooo smart and learns so fast, but I have a sneaking suspicion we accidentally just adopted a malinois mix 🫣 just means we absolutely can’t slack on training and exercise!

We were supposed to be picking Maelle up from the airport today but the foster realized yesterday that she no longer fits in the carry-on to go in the cabin of the plane 😣 so now I don’t get to have my baby girl before my birthday on Tuesday, and I’m not even sure when we’re going to get her now 😭

Buck is breaking my fucking heart. He's been getting all freaked out by the sound of our phones going off with texts and we finally realized that's what it was so I reached out to the vet and they were like he's probably going deaf 😭

I deleted all Meta apps off my phone back in Jan and I just popped on to IG on browser to poke around and found a TON of people I KNOW I was already following in my "suggested accounts" section, and I can't click on any of my notifs. This kind of bs is a huge part of why I HATE Meta.

After a few years of debating if now was the right time or not, @delgnir.bsky.social and I have decided to expand our family! We had a virtual interview today to adopt this sweet girl from Puerto Rico and it sounds like we're going to be approved as soon as they talk to our references and vet 👀💖

In the light of recent developments, I wanna say that I'm 100% anti-censorship and pro "create and enjoy whatever fiction you want". It's one thing not wanting to consume dark fiction yourself and not wanting it to exist at all. Your personal discomfort doesn't mean it should be banned or illegal.
