My son watching staircases unfold in the giant underground hidden pyramid: I'm gonna be honest, if they had this technology in Ancient Egypt, it was definitely aliens.

Kid, you are not wrong 😂

I only have like 10 completed dramas this year, but I'll answer what I can and pepper in some anime to fill the gaps. Prepare to see a lot of repeats 😂

I love kdramas and yes, but also, one of the things I love is that I am going to get a complete story arc over a season. I'm not going to get part of a story and then it gets canceled because it didn't make infinity money in the first week.
I have no empirical proof, but I feel this is an aspect of why so many Americans keep digging into kdramas. They're tonally expansive with charismatic people solving some problems week-to-week and usually falling in love along the way. S. Korea has hard picked up what we dropped.

Hear hear!

This idea is the same thing as people thinking that only Korean romcoms qualify as "kdramas". Every country creates a variety of different stories. If I only choose to watch a certain type that's a me issue, not a reflection of the country's offerings or other people's preferences
While saying that in Chinese dramas consumed overseas the “focus… is on romance” - “tropey and soapy” - again sounds like a pejorative, as though a drama that includes romance can’t say anything more than that

(as though Chinese dramas were alone in involving romantic storylines)

Chinese dramas don’t fit a single mould, which means for those who prefer rugged & gritty dramas with more senior actors, there is a wide pool of dramas to choose from - while for those who prefer a more imaginative play of visual senses, or for romantic flights of fancy, there is a wide choice too

"... And her breast were enormous, not that I was the sort of man to notice such things"

Sir, these better be Chekov's breast and their size better be relevant to the plot later in this alien hunter book or what was the reason?

Reminded of why I've been avoiding social media lately. Because why are you-- a professional in your field-- spreading untrue information related to your business? I'm tired of folks being so loud and wrong while thinking they're right

Day #3
A gripping thriller I would recommend is the Jdrama Million Yen Women. It's so intense and weird and wonderful

In a movie about alien invasions and time travel, the least believable thing is the fact that he took a "no" from the government and didn't flood the internet with their conspiracy to get the world's help. A little thermal imaging could have gone a long way here.
