Algorithms have essentially reduced me to dog only content. I’ve never been happier.

Product Dev / Pretend Full-Stack Dev. Former survey researcher. Skier, PC/Steam Deck/Retro gamer, woodworker.

Good at picking up and then abandoning hobbies.
I’m logging off of this site again for a bit. My mental health cannot take arguing with what are probably astroturfed GOP accounts.

Dems finally have an ounce of momentum against this regime and these people want to give it all away and just let Trump have the Sudetenland. Fuck that.

Centrist Dems are hellbent on cosplaying Neville Chamberlain - just so they can wash their hands of some temporary discomfort.

Trump isn’t going to negotiate after the govt reopens. He’s going to come down harder on every single thing we hold dear.

Fuck appeasement.

Does anyone have data on the proportion of time / media hits that cabinet secretaries are doing relative to other admins?

I know it’s traditionally a part of the job, but I feel like it’s had to have gone up in this admin.

MAHA should be so proud 🤗

Now these lovely people can learn how to cure their (checks notes) asthma and atrial fibrillation with $100/month juice cleanses.

But at least Mars said they might think about not using artificial dyes in M&Ms in 2 years. So you know. America is saved!

I don’t know that I’ve ever thanked my parents enough for shelling out on a Ti-84. That device was expensive as hell, but single-handedly improved my chances of getting into, and then graduating, college.

This is a good piece. Proud of MoCo moms for (likely) rejecting this cretin without even knowing the depths of her insanity.

Makes me almost want to brave the state run liquor stores and move back, just to be mean to this idiot.

Shapiro: He rose to some prominence by writing a book about growing up in Appalachia, where there are a whole lot of people who get SNAP. He made millions of dollars off telling their stories, and then he turned his damn back on those very people he likes to write about and claim as his own.

@thehill.com described this as:

“Other attendees helped lay the man down on the ground and elevate his feet as reporters were being taken out of the room. Trump, who had been seated behind the Resolute Desk, stood up to watch over the guest before cameras cut out”

Fucking cowards.

Your brand of milquetoast aplogenenzia for Kamala not supporting LGBT (especially the T) and Gaza is fucked beyond belief.

I have never enjoyed “hiding for others” more than I’ve enjoyed it for you you fucking propaganda monster. Fuck off.

Some days I wish I could have my head be this empty. Like, I could fumble a good opportunity through my own idiocy and immediately shrug it off as me being brave and frame everyone else as “tribalist”.

If you’re lonely it’s because you’re giving megalomaniac energy and people shy away from that.
In a world that rewards tribal loyalty and punishes dissent, true independence isn’t glamorous, it’s lonely. But it’s also essential.

If you want to request a refund of any donation to @grahamformaine.bsky.social campaign (specifically made through ActBlue) - this appears to be the link to do so.

I’ve submitted a refund request with the message being basically “Nazi tattoo??”

Will report back if/when the refund hits my account.

But hey at least we can dance away our worries in New Gilded Age ballroom*.

I love when a startup’s entire scaling strategy is “pay poor people in a developing country very little to do a terrible job”.

I’m sure that’s what Tiger Cub funds just love to pay for.
