I’m grateful to be endorsed by Riverview Elementary’s principal and for the work she does for our community, in both blue skies and trying times. My campaign and my life are rooted in showing up for one another, so it’s an honor to be in league with advocates like Stivaliss.

Many people have been unable to work for over a month due to fear of ICE abducting them. Hey @governorwalz.mn.gov, I think it's time for another eviction moratorium during this current crisis.

Some good ideas on what policies the state government can do in response to the federal invasion
1) reinstate the eviction moratorium that was in place during COVID.
2) change the law so that absences from school due to fear or deportation do NOT count towards truancy totals for students

Former St. Paul police officer critiquing ICE: "How much of this ICE behavior is incompetence and how much is a result of the impunity granted to the agency by the current administration? It is likely a mix."

Ex-officer: Renee Good shooting was a failure of ICE tactics, law
It's likely that the behavior of ICE agents in Minnesota stems from a mix of incompetence and impunity granted by the current administration.

It sounds weird when you put it that way. But 100% true.
So to keep people in the loop, one of the biggest school districts in the state is closed Tuesday and Wednesday because they need to give teachers time to build hybrid options for families worried about their children getting kidnapped on the way to school by lawless masked armed federal goons.

All this week, my kids elementary school is not allowing the kids out for recess. They tell the kids its because it's "too icy" outside. How true! Gallows humor, people. SPPS Teachers are the best people I know.

I do NOT support the St. Paul city council's refusal to fast-track strengthening our city separation ordinance, which delineates how the city can or can not cooperate with the federal government. The 3 council members who voted against this need to see the urgency!

Calling the last-minute submission legally dubious, half the city council objected, noting there was nothing printed before them or available online for public review.

Adding to my list of things to assist immigrant neighbors with
-moving cars during snow emergencies
-taking trash to curb
Minneapolis City Council member Jason Chavez: "Many of our immigrants neighbors are picked up simply by moving their cars. Help your neighbors take out the trash, because there are many reports of neighbors being kidnapped when they're taking their trash out."

In the wake of ICE atrocities in Minnesota, this is a call to reject fear, choose moral action, and build the kind of community that makes resistance possible.

I am so saddened and angry at the horror and chaos unleased yesterday in Minneapolis, ultimately due to the presidential administration enacting revenge on their political opponents and trying to look effective to their political base. This ICE operation is illegal and immoral. #ICEoutofMN
