Canada is uniquely positioned to break the siege of Cuba—we should be leading a regional coalition to ship oil and aid to Cuba, and prevent the humanitarian crisis that U.S. regime is attempting to deliberately trigger.

I wrote about it, and the history of the blockade, for @policyalternatives.ca
Send Canadian oil to Cuba - CCPA
The United States is attempting to deliberately trigger a humanitarian crisis in Cuba. Canada must act in concert with regional allies to defy the blockade.

@theecologyprof.bsky.social @maxfawcett.bsky.social @mbeconetwork.bsky.social @weplanetint.bsky.social How does your electricity grid perform in worst case scenarios? That is, high pressure systems in winter that bring extreme cold and calm conditions.

Compare Manitoba's wind turbine performance to MISO's nuclear performance over the last 30 days. Almost all the electricity Manitoba imports comes from the MISO grid. @theecologyprof.bsky.social @theturner.bsky.social @maxfawcett.bsky.social @pembina.org @danwoy.bsky.social @energimedia.bsky.social

How do electricity generators perform during worst case scenarios, bitterly cold temps, when it matters most? This is an example from Ontario, Canada. It is common to have minimal wind during bitterly cold temps @theecologyprof.bsky.social @theturner.bsky.social @volts.wtf @mbeconetwork.bsky.social

Marco Chown Oved had an article in the National Observor yesterday – sorry, just realized this is in the Globe by a similar person – or maybe just a different pseudonym.
Anyway… I think the answer to the title is “yes”, and I don’t wish to defend OPG, but “in depth”…
