We went to the day cares Nick Shirley did. Here’s what we found.
Some of the 10 day cares the YouTube content creator blasted for having “no children” invited reporters in to see for themselves.

They raise the rate with little notice. I have to call and threaten to cancel or cancel and wait for them to give me a better offer every time it happens. Sunday hard copy is getting thinner and thinner.

Impulse bought a whole pomegranate today. It's been many years since I busted one open instead of buying the cheater arils. They're so odd inside. Why are pomegranates?

I just use the Docket app. The state reports all our vaccinations there.

Stopped by to say hi to Jakob.

Time for a traditional Christmas movie.

I'm definitely going to be saved.

Piss off.

As I correctly stated, it's in both states. Maybe this map will help you not "well, actually" the next person.

It's in both, but the Missouri side is more prominent.

Is this a good thing for profs who want to teach race/gender topics?

Not everyday you see a member of The New Standards playing at @mspairport.bsky.social! Very nice musical surprise, especially since we missed the holiday show.

The #1 movie when you were 10 is how your 2026 is going to go.

Eerily accurate... Government invades a home to kidnap an immigrant and those who helped him. Fortunately, he makes it home. Fingers crossed for all of us.

I learned that today also. We always go use the kiosk to create the ugly label. Those are much nicer.

Why, yes, we did spend the weekend in a non-allocation state. What gave it away?

I've listened to Listen Without Prejudice about 8 million times. And his Queen tribute tracks are so good. I so wish he'd gotten to understand he was accepted and so, so talented.

Not trying to call out Tony & Devin here, but they are (somewhat confidently) reinforcing a very common, but exactly wrong myth about Section 230 and being a "publisher." Let's use this as an opportunity to do some educating around Section 230 and the idea of being "a publisher."

For the youth out there, before digital, movies got delivered each week in these canisters. They got loaded to a film projector platter as they were spliced together.

Seeing Tremors as an after-close viewing when I worked at an AMC in high school. No idea what it was about beforehand. On Thurs nights ushers had to build up prints from reel canisters. Each movie had to be screened for out of frame splices. Just a bunch of teenagers having fun with Kevin and Reba.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.
