Recently finished an advance copy of WILD DARK SHORE, by Charlotte McConaghy, releasing March 4. Absolutely phenomenal. Completely immersive, enthralling, unputdownable, AND deeply wise. 5 stars.

"I'm not trying to hide from the truth
but to balance it,
to remind myself that there are other truths, too.

I need to remember that the earth,

fragile as it is,

remains heartbreakingly beautiful."

What most struck me throughout Five Tuesdays in Winter by Lily King was an almost pervasive sense of nostalgia. Themes related to childhood innocence, & to alternately welcome & unwelcome means of coming of age are explored in nuanced ways.

Highly recommend EVERYONE ON THIS TRAIN IS A SUSPECT, Benjamin Stevenson. A standalone sequel even better than the 1st. Clever, witty, sharp, a fresh take on your classic mystery.

Have you read it?
