Did y'all know that froge takes art commissions? This is their "YCH Goobies" comm from vgen.co/hypofroge . I love how they captured the goofy vibe, and there are so many bases to choose from! 💜 These will hopefully be emotes on my Twitch channel once Twitch approves them 🏳️⚧️

Next coding stream, I think I'll tackle reading & writing WAV files. It's a nice & simple audio file format, but with a few little quirks along the way, and I've found a good reference for it again. Will I stream on Christmas? 🎄 We'll see how it goes. Maybe Boxing Day.

I finished most of the changes I'd planned for the file I/O code (except ref counting, which I realized is a bad idea 😸), so I thought next stream, I'll play "Mind Over Magnet" by @gamemakerstoolkit.com (GMTK), a neat puzzle platformer where we need to help magnets escape a factory.

I started questioning back in 2019, thanks to a trans man on Discord, and him being trans made it clear to me how not everyone would prefer to be female. Took me 2 years questioning to encounter egg_irl, and it was probably some meme about not every transfem having the same dysphoria cracked my egg.

I put together some notes to remind myself how Unicode text encodings work. UTF-8 & UTF-16 are pretty weird text formats, but they work, and at least they're not code pages. Thank goodness.

I was thinking I should write file input/output wrappers on stream next, so that I can get to writing code for reading & writing WAV and BMP files, though to work around a bug on Windows, I'll need to write UTF-8 to UTF-16 conversion support first. Lots of code ahead! 🖥️😺Maybe gaming first, though?
