As others have pointed out, we have UN reports, genocide experts and the world’s leading human rights organizations, all reaching the same conclusion—that Israel is committing genocide.

And @australia.theguardian.com is using 'scare quotes'?

There is no war in Gaza. There is only GENOCIDE.

Imagine spending the last week in flood impacted communities and knowing, even acknowledging, that these events are becoming more common and worse due to climate change and then approving a project that will make climate change worse. #climatecriminal

Anyone else get a $200bn gift from the govt yesterday??

No??!!

Cripes, you must not be a poor struggling barely getting by hugely profitable gas company
Today @MurrayWatt has given Woodside a $200bn gift

The North West Shelf extension will get $200bn+ of GAS FOR FREE. No royalties!

But what about PRRT? Lol No. Treasury in 2023 noted the NWS will never pay it

Terrible for the climate, fatal for Murujuga, & braindead economics

And this folks is what's happening in America today.

😒
Today the Supreme Court cleared the way for the federal government to transfer thousands of acres of national forestland including a Native American sacred site, to Resolution Copper a mining company owned by Rio Tinto and BHP. The land holds deep spiritual significance for the Western Apache tribe.

The Fed Gov needs to put a stop to the Americanisation of the health system. If Healthscope has shown us one thing, it’s that corporate self-interest is fundamentally at odds with the sustainable delivery of quality health care for the majority of Australians. #auspol #politas

It's clear there's been political interference into a report on the gas industry threat in Murujuga, and experts are speaking out.

It's the most important rock art site in the world, but Government won't stand in the way of Woodside wanting more gas.

Dr Norman Swan was the second speaker, who began by telling the audience about deepfake videos of him that have been tricking people into buying unproven supplements.

He highlighted the power of commercial interests (e.g. Meta) in amplifying misinformation

Who remembers the No Dams protests from the early ‘80’s?
We are going to need to do similar with the Burrup Peninsula. Chain ourselves to equipment, destroy other resources, block roads, get arrested, then get arrested again. March on Canberra and drag politicians out to face their employers.

Also, Bluesky is fine. I have fun here. Only thing I wish was more sport.
Yeah wishing for old Twitter is like wishing for a time when everyone just watched the 6pm news, and sat down and watched Friends followed by Seinfeld.

Ain't coming back, folks.
