Last time I saw my CPN I was blonde and no tattoos. When we meet for a joint psychologist assessment, I’ll have pink hair and fresh tattoos.

You wouldn’t think this would be an issue but now Im having to consider how to explain neither were impulsive choices and neither were signs of MH decline 😑

Oh the irony of sitting down to write in my BACP accreditation application about how I follow the ethical code of conduct just as news breaks that the Chair and Deputy Chair have been caught fiddling expense.

Adhd is remembering you need to send a birthday card 1 month before the date and waiting.

Then remembering you didnt flipping send one when you see the birthday messages on social media 🫠

#ADHD is also having their birthday on all the calendars you own; digital and paper 👍🏻

Slightly different but our brains will dull or numb us, if it feels threatened. You can white knuckle psychotherapy but there’s no guarantee you’re experiencing the full emotional spectrum or thats its not just a rollercoaster of emotional defences - to which meds can stabilise.
I'm pretty tired of the narrative that psych medication "numbs", "dulls", "dampens down" and therapy is the real cure this week 🥱

Why assume therapy can never acclimatise a person to an unjust world? Why assume medication doesn't treat just because we don't know for sure?

Normally it's @psychtoday.bsky.social with the most stigmatising articles on BPD but here's

Tell me about your #psychresearch ☺️

For my masters, I am building on my bsc dissertation and exploring more factors in psychological help seeking behaviours and attitudes.

Submitted my #dclinpsy application last night. It has been a completely different emotional experience to last year.

More anxious but perhaps more of a feeling that it is real. I want to succeed but success would come with massive changes and that brings some anxiety.

Anyone else?
