Had a good night at the Comedy show. Reginald D Hunter was funny, but his timing was off. Though not surprising given the past 16 months he's had. He said the joke that got him in trouble, it was on the nose but nothing more than that.

I will be glad to be out of the house and away from the internet tonight. So I expect something big will break in the news, but at least I can avoid the usual mayhem.

Ah yes Valentines day. The performative day of Romance for the terminally lazy. Yes I'm single, but if I were in a relationship I'd put the effort in to being romantic all year round. Not wait once a year to do something.

Off to see Reginald D Hunter tonight, a friends idea not mine. First time I'll be seeing a stand up show live.

No wonder Starmer was reluctant to hand over documents relating to Mandelson, the BBC are reporting the number of documents could be close to 100,000.

I am tired of British politics being run by men, wheeling and dealing to climb the greasy pole to number 10. Party affiliation doesn't matter to them, they usually end up with similar policies with a different lick of paint.

All I can say about Starmer? He screwed himself, and he needs to go. No political nous, relies on Mandelson's protege to get anything done. I wish Dan Jarvis had gone for the leadership when Corbyn quit.

The world is announcing it’s spring and I think I’m having some emotions.

Glad I was able to get out yesterday and the very short amount of daylight I managed to use to take my first few photographs of the year. The focus staking I want to do, is not possible when it's wet and windy. So the wait continues.

As for the US and how the Trump regime is trying to spin things?

My predicated peak flow is 620 but i get nowhere close to that. One of the reasons i’ve been referred to the special airways clinic, appointment is in August.

Enough waffling. Here’s a photo. The grammar police were out.

I'm going to try and use this site a bit more. Not that I have much to say, as I really can't handle the chaos the world has fallen into. Almost everyone saw the iceberg if you will coming, but did nothing to switch directions to avoid it.

Woke up coughing again. Can’t be bothered to go downstairs to get my blue inhaler. Hopefully my referral to the special airways clinic will be accepted. Asthma is not fun to say the least. Been lucky thus far I’ve not needed hospital admissions for it as an adult. Come close a few times.

Having to use 5G for internet over the past week has been a right pain. Hopefully the fibre connection gets fixed today, it appears EE didn't switch the account from copper to fibre. The Openreach engineer was less than impressed "It was raised as a copper fault".

Sometimes I'm in awe of just how old Oxford is and all the people who were born here, lived here and died over centuries. Puts life into perspective somewhat. Walking around the really old buildings makes me wonder about all those who came before, and all those yet to come.

I don't have an issue with an ID card to prove who you are, opening a bank account etc but to centre it around the right to work is nakedly trying to court voters who'll not be voting for the Labour party at the next election. Also calling it a Brit Card is naff. Just call it an ID card.
