Parking, streaming, movie theaters not giving movies a chance, people FaceTiming while watching a movie, $17 tickets for 2-D showings, five screens for a bloated franchise, oversaturated field, one good movie for every 25.
Not one of the 25 dramas and comedies that movie companies released in North American theaters over the past three months has become a hit. Some have played to near-empty auditoriums, including “After the Hunt,” staring Julia Roberts and “Christy,” with Sydney Sweeney.
Why Hollywood’s Star-Studded Movies Are Failing at the Box Office
It has been a brutal three months for dramas and comedies.

I wanna say a word here on behalf of the people who run social media accounts for institutions, companies & famous people. By and large, they are not "interns." The bigger the client, the more they get paid, because managing the waves of public opinion is tricky, and the amount of abuse is unending.

For many groups, particularly Black people, America has always been an authoritarian country.
The speed by which America collapsed into authoritarian rule is the most shocking thing. Faster than other contemporary cases. Faster than the alleged “dictator’s playbook” suggests. So fast we *shouldn’t* call it “competitive authoritarianism.” It may be worse than that.
