Well done and thank you Elaine and an taisce
Today I endeavoured to speak for the rivers, to provide a counter balance to the lobbyist's narrative on the polluting nitrates derogation.

Our rivers, lakes and seas deserve a chance to run healthy, wild and free from pollution

We need collective action, yet despite being the largest methane emitter in Europe, the agri-food sector is notably lagging behind.

As @talamhbeo.bsky.social shared today, "it's not just about the cow, but how we farm." We need a food systems approach to drive change and reduce methane now⌛📉

We continue to mortgage the health of both current and future generations to realise short-term economic and development gains in the present.

“Irelands food system “need urgent transformational change””…agroecology and food sovereignty offer a real alternative - one that supports, farmers, communities and the land
The saying 'don't let facts get in the way of a good story' often comes to mind when I hear the Irish gov. telling stories about how sustainable our agri system is & how committed they are to environmental action.

No surprises here for anyone paying attention.
