Great to see some strong EPA enforcement against North Cork Creameries for continuing to breach their licence.

They're not allowed to discharge again until the EPA are satisfied they'll be compliant with their licence, which, given their track record, won't be easy

Worth a listen, long feature on the N derogation
Over the 19 years Ireland has had a derogation from the nitrates directive we have backed ourselves in to a corner. Which now leaves us having productive and economically viable farms or cleaner rivers and lakes, but not both.

Ok, EU #ENVI ministers agreed their 2040 #climate target. It is far from what science tells us is needed, and EP still missing. But what anyhow matters is measures that will be taken to achieve it (ETS/II, LULUCF, ICE, ..). When are we talking about reducing #livestock, when about taxing #kerosine?
