I’m on @bbclondonnews.bsky.social talking about the 4000 litres of diesel that were spilled into the Wandle on Tuesday, and what this means for the local environment and the people who love this precious chalk stream

I can’t smash out a new textile artwork about the diesel spill in the Wandle so I just did this as a placeholder

I’m just absolutely devastated about this. The local community has spent decades restoring the Wandle from a “dead” river to a beautiful ecosystem. Thames Water dump raw sewage in it all the time and now this www.standard.co.uk/news/london/...

If H&M CEO wants to raise the bar, he can start by raising WAGES. By delivering on that living wage for garment workers pledge for example!

H&M must raise the bar to counter fierce fast-fashion competition, says CEO
H&M cannot win on price alone and must make its clothes more trendy and of higher-quality in the fiercely competitive fast-fashion sector, its CEO Daniel Erver told Reuters.

Fashion is so good at showing what a f*cked up system capitalism is.

At 09:06:02 AM this morning the CEO of Amazon Andy Jassy had already made the annual salary of a Bangladeshi garment worker. 10 minutes later, Zara’s Oscar García Maceiras had done the same.

In 2025 I want to explore London’s BIG wild spaces, and try the hikes that connect our green spaces. Many Londoners might feel like they need to spend time and money on a big excursion to experience nature, and I want to show that’s just not true. So today I started with the classic: Richmond Park

The same landscapes that benefit bats also reduce flood risk, drought risk & recharge aquifers. Unless they want all these new builds inundated with flood water & residents with nothing to drink, maybe it's time to think about protecting wetlands, floodplains & rivers #givenewtsachance

This is what I’m aspiring to! I haven’t shopped on the high street since 2017 and the clothing I had from that time is coming to the end of its lifespan. I’m currently obsessed with loud 80s blouses and I have maybe half a dozen pieces of “recognisable” clothing so good luck algorithm!
The most original dressers currently are people who wear a lot of 2nd hand and blend with smaller lesser known brands, often pieces made to order. This is the stuff that the algorithm can't place so it struggles to announce the brand to the world. That's the future of originality in my opinion.

I’m here! Probably posting about clothing repair, water pollution, my beloved River Wandle, urban flora, fauna and funga, and the weird art I make!
