I was always surprised that no one had publicly shamed “Polly” or “Cooper” for being terrible friends, because that sort of behaviour seems to be so common. I guess if they don’t exist no one has bad things to say about them! Turns out - plot twist! - it was Sally and Tim who were bad friends!

And you can donate to the South East Rivers Trust crowdfunder for restoration works and better real-time water quality monitoring. While the people responsible need to be heavily fined, a court case could take years and the river needs help now www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/save-the-r...

My sister’s cat tree was ignored for years, until the day she put it on Freecycle 😂

Yes that is a shopping trolley in the water (one of many), but the water is clearer than I’ve seen it in Wandle Park for a long time, so that’s encouraging! Back in September the water smelled terrible, so although there was a slight oily film in places it looked much healthier

We did a 10km walk and only saw about hall of the park! Yes, you do have to turn your back to traffic/ignore planes on the Heathrow flight path to pretend you’re In The Wild, but I think the magic of London’s green spaces is that they exist in the midst of the city and are no less beautiful for it

We had a great time watching a group of young bucks, and I was able to get a couple of (not great 😂) shots using my phone through my binoculars! I mostly wanted a snap of the dude who’d created a grassy hat for himself to dress up his antlers

There are plenty of grassy tracks that will take you through the trees and maybe into close proximity to the park’s famous charismatic megafauna, the deer! They are largely unbothered by their human fans, but it’s best not to get too close

Richmond Park is in Zone 4, accessible by a quick bus ride from the station. Several roads run through the park, so if you’ve got a road bike it’s great for cycling. There are also wheelchair accessible paths alongside the roads. If you fancy more of an off-road hike there are plenty of options

Ooh that’s a nifty idea! I really like drawing birds for my embroideries but I’ve realised that my “house style” is “slightly rounder than a real bird” 😂
