I second this, especially because I recall him stating in an interview that at the start of his career, he was routinely asked to be anything other than himself until POSE. I’m glad that he gets to be and present, however he chooses to. He’s not the only older gay that needs this freedom.
He can be a bit annoying at times, but I’m genuinely glad Billy Porter gets to be fully himself everywhere he goes. We need to see more older queens being celebrated.
