Remember when I came up with "buttons" to explain executive dysfunction just because I had an argument with my partner about getting things done?

I made an entirely new series for ADHD Awareness Month explaining motivation & ADHD. Coming next week 👀✨
Page 1 Comic showing a person with black hair and yellow antennae struggling to explain ADHD-related difficulties. Panel 1: The character looks startled as another person enters cheerfully with a dog, saying, “Heyyy, I’m back!” Panel 2: The person frowns, “You said you would clean up!” The character replies, “I wanted to eat breakfast first…” Panel 3: The character adds, “But I couldn’t decide on what to eat, so I didn’t.” The other responds, “Well, now you know better. Next time just eat something.” Panel 4: The character, frustrated, says, “Don’t say it like that! Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
