I think that today's chapter has one of my favourite passages; as someone who has always considered the inevitability of death to be a welcome end, it was gratifying to imagine that finality as a moment possessed of its own mournful joy.

I was all set to go to the boathouse early and do an absolutely BRUTAL workout I used to do regularly 15 years ago in college and then I remembered I scheduled therapy for the same exact time as that.
So I just sobbed for an hour. Let’s call it a wash.

Me: I’ve been feeling sluggish the past week or so even though I’ve been working out the same amount as before and just my emotions are ALL OVER THE PLACE
