This was also allowing the BDS movement to grow and threaten Israels economic standings - The US admin still believes in the Greater Israel project as much as the Far Right in Israel does.

The motivation for the US/Israel is not one of peace but rather the movement of capital and perception. Israel was losing favor in the court of public opinion as well as the International Criminal court. The prime minister is considered a war criminal in many countries and would be arrested in them.

It is a good day for humanity that these people are free, the bombs have stopped falling, and people are returning home. There are a lot of OTHER things to consider too besides the media coverage of the POW release:

There is a stark difference in coverage here. The Israelis released were “hostages”. The Palestinians were not; they were “Prisoners”. There isn’t a difference between these two groups besides the way they are being framed.

This is progress for humanity that this occurred today, as for ALL these innocent people needed to be released. However, what is being vastly overlooked is that Israel has released 2000 Palestinians, many of them were beaten before they were released. Some were also from the West Bank

Yesterday , Hamas and Israel conducted the POW exchange facilitated by the Red Cross. 20 Israeli’s were returned home, along with the deceased, in which is heavily be covered by the media as a momentous event.

Turn off Apple Intelligence, stop using google search to Gemini overview doesn’t trigger. I use DuckDuckGo and turned AI off but I’m sure there’s more options. Google doesn’t allow Gemini to be turned off.
