It's amazing what time does. It grays the face but needn't dim the brightness of our eyes. My first and last photos of my dear sweet Cahir.

Looking at these two photos next to each other brings enormous love and pride to my heart. He was the most amazing companion.
Narrating the Zhuangzi for the National Library Service, definitely the most complex a d difficult narration I've ever attempted. Need a lot of digital assistance to get all the info in front of my face.

It's the weekend, which means it's time for @svandoren.bsky.social to guide you through a fantasy world where democratic governments use their power to curbstomp fascists

Oh boy.

Perhaps my tone needs adjustment.

Saw a pair of what I like to call Flying Terries out on our walk this morning.

Y'all really need to stop using grok (and all the other ai image generators), ignorance of the ecological and sociological harm isn't reasonable anymore.

While it is criminal that we've not got a Season 6 in our near future for Star Trek Lower Decks, @mikemcmahan.bsky.social gave us, with Season 5, the most wonderful love letter to the Star Trek I could have imagined.

This finale was gorgeous. 🖖

If you're not aware (because I took March through now off from projects), the @eomproject.bsky.social audiobook is back in production and episodes are fast catching up with the written word.

Great #StarTrek storytelling and world building here, don't miss out!

In general, I think we overdid it with the "anyone can write a book" encouragement. We need to over-correct and make writing a musty, arcane thing again. Robes. Dust. Quills. Cantankerous & unstable tower-dwellers.

Artists.

the "Gates of Hades" should rhyme.

Oh.

Of course.

It's not an infection, my dog just has smegma.

Huh.

Love researching how to pronounce the Klingon names of economic features. Fortunately this chapter only includes "gagh'ghlH pa'rup" half a dozen times.

Ever had an otherwise decent, lovely book be ruined by the author's note at the end? I hadn't until today.

Get to narrate a Guillermo del Toro series next at the Library, and couldn't be more thrilled.

Big day for people who can only tolerate my scribblings when @svandoren.bsky.social reads them with the authority of an Anthony Beevor book
Over Acamar, a total war is imminent. Everyone - Klingon, Starfleet and Politican - is willing to risk everything to ensure victory. Only one person will actually take the risk, however, and push the quadrant that much closer to disaster.

Christ, @eomproject.bsky.social, you call this ONE chapter? It's an endurance sport with you, obviously.

Anyway, one down (and being processed); three (!) to go. Thanks to everyone who has pestered him (or me) about the audiobook's status.

I mark 45 years in this life today, and I'll admit, this was my real birthday present. Sagan is a very different personality from Cahir, but I've already determined if he asked me to, I would do truly unfathomable things.

Look at dose eyes.....daaaaaaawwww

I just came home from the shelter with this beautiful guy. He keeps licking the tears of joy off my face.

I'm in the middle of narrating the novelization (!) of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and must say it really has some very amusing bits. Recommend it to any fans of the original film, for sure. Recently written, so it's been, erm, narratively enhanced through hindsight.

Well I guess I'm the only one, but, while I was impressed with the tech of the output, the stubborn insistence of all Star Trek properties looking to ~1964 (or Section 31) for all their source material to regurgitate for our distended bellies may finally be turning me off to Trek.

So, because my heart yearns for connection, I've begun browsing the nearest shelter, and I've come across this beauty, who has been there for almost a month, and it just boggles the mind.

She's a Catahoula Leopard Hound, a breed I'd never heard of. Might have to meet her next week. #DogsOfBlueSky
