Poet published in magazines & anthologies in the UK, US, Ireland & Canada. Debut pamphlet: Fledglings (Red Squirrel Press, 2016). First collection: Crippled (Red Squirrel Press, 2025).
As it's Remembrance Day, here's a poem from my collection 'Crippled', out now from Red Squirrel Press. Its for my paternal grandfather, who was killed in action aged 22 when my dad was only a few months old.

What a night. I cried, I raged, I saw others and I felt seen. Thank you Joelle Taylor for understanding that femme is also a norm-busting performance - what will hopefully be my second collection features a sequence on high femme as a deflection of the patriarchal gaze and burlesque as subversion.

Feeling very grown-up: now I have a full collection out, I get to be a full Member of @societyofauthors.bsky.social. Joining them was one of the best things I've done for myself as a writer: they fight tirelessly for writers' rights. Highly recommended. societyofauthors.org

Researching a poem, I'm amazed loo roll dolls are still around. Most houses in the 1980s had one. I prefer artist Shauna Richardson's Drag Race take: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-norfolk-60166442 The doll in my poem escapes to enjoy a 3-way with Sindy & Barbie. Take that, Section 28 ;)
