My son had an ophthalmology eval today. He’s legally blind with a long history of eye issues including retinopathy of prematurity, and bilateral cataract removal at only 13.
He now needs lens implants to save his vision.
Our worst fear though?
Not having insurance for surgery.

Medicaid is a requirement for my son. W/out it, he wouldn’t have access to things like wheelchairs, medicine for his seizures, communication device, therapy, etc.

Don’t Cut My Medicaid!
The majority of my son’s medical team are in Austin (1.5 hr drive), some in Houston (3 hrs), one in Dallas (5 hrs).
Telehealth appts are needed & necessary!
My son has extreme car anxiety, not to mention wear and tear on our car, gas! 🤬
And we’re not alone!
