Through forgotten corridors and the dim halls of memory, it has been gathering, growing — a presence older than our craft, yet hungry for creation.
Now it rises, gleaming and unnameable: the latest STLGameDev RoundUp!

The colors and button positions are a little off, but the Lego game boy is pretty close to the real deal. Definitely the most unique Lego build I’ve ever put together.

The star of Ghost of Yōtei is the DualSense controller. It’s by far the best use I’ve seen since Astrobot. They do a really good job of pairing the sound that’s coming from the controller with the vibrations as well, so it feels like an extension of what’s happening on screen.

Funny (not funny) to think that at one point “all lives matter” was the right wing response to a supposed focus on one group, but now the right wing messaging is a very intentional, definitive “all lives do not matter”
On Thursday, the Holocaust Museum LA posted “'Never again' can’t only mean never again for Jews” on instagram. It’s notable because they would be recognizing the genocide in Gaza.

Anyway, they pulled it down today saying, “we promise to do better.”

Question for gamers. Would you rather have Nintendo charge $640 for the Switch 2 ($700 with Mario Kart) and release on June 5 or delay the console in America until the tariffs are under control?

My theory on the Switch 2 “C” button is that it’s the “cast” button and it’s used to control casting your video to the TV for your map or whatever 2nd screen content the game supports. I also think the “2” in Switch 2 stands for 2 screens. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow!
