Two weeks ago I did a candle pour on my own. No help, just following research I had done and creating my own custom fragrance blend from fragrance oils I purchased. Today I’m melting a wax melt I made (I made a 10oz candle, 3oz candle, and wax bar) and the smell in my room has me so proud of myself.

If you’re gonna try to trauma dump in comment sections on social media, maybe trauma dump in the correct ones and not the ones that are giggling cuz people aren’t gonna take you the way you want to be taken and then you’re gonna be offended.

I joined a run club in April and while I enjoy it, the head keeps making jokes and microagressions towards me because I brought up that someone in the group should be carrying a first aid kit, apparently that warrants the “you’re such a mom” comments, and tbh I don’t like those.

I made the mistake of telling my aunt about my candle hobby plan and now I’m just out of motivation… like damn, some people really don’t want you to succeed and sometimes those people are your own family… joke’s on her though, I’m gonna do it anyway.

Can we maybe publicly shame people who offer unsolicited medical advice to parents of disabled children? Especially within the first minute of interacting? Like no, I won’t buy your shitty MLM supplements and products in hopes my kid will be neurotypical 😡

My wax melter arrived today! I just need to finish deciding which vessels I want to work with as well as which scents I want to order for my three staple scents. It feels so real!

I took the plunge and have ordered my wax melter for my candle making setup… now I’m sourcing and planning my first candles and scent lineup… 84 candles is feeling so much more real and I’m genuinely getting excited. Now to place the order for wax and containers and fragrance oils.

The “UPS dropped my box at the wrong house” walk of shame is so real because why do I feel like I’m some sort of criminal when I’m retrieving my own property off of my neighbor’s porch?

So…

People seem to think that we’re just done now? We bombed the shit out of three nuclear sites in a country we weren’t at war with, and that’s just… it?

Oh, my sweet summer children.

Being yelled at in my own kitchen by my aunt because I don’t control the medical community in my state is a new level of bullshit

I cannot be the only person that struggles to open the tubes of lotion from bath and body works that finds the pop tops on their bottles to be much more accessible for those with dexterity issues.

One thing I noticed companies doing is slapping the word “autism” on the use and then proceeding to up the charge exponentially simply because parents of autistic children genuinely require said item for a semblance of normalcy in life.

Was trying to make a new friend with one of the women at yoga today, she then went off about vaccines and I knew she was not the friend for me 😩

You know what fucking sucks about having an invisible illness fucking your life up? When your aunt asks if it’s all in your head from googling… ma’am, the lump in my neck is bigger and the stamina decrease is getting worse, the ferritin and CRP levels are high, that’s not from google 😡😤

While thinking about accessibility, it makes me mad that my city has great walking paths that I am unable to take a mobility aid like a wheelchair or a stroller through to gain access to the path. They claim it’s to keep dirt bikes out but it hurts disabled folks, too.

Oncology hadn’t called me back in 18 days so I had the audacity to call back today and damn, I got treated like I was the bad guy for having the audacity. I’m now on a wait list to possibly get a video appointment in June and go from there but fuuuuuck, there was no reason for them to act like that🧵

One thing I absolutely dislike about accessibility products is how inaccessible they tend to be if you don’t just go buy them on amazon.

Controversial take: financing every little luxury you want in life is not helping you afford it, if you can’t save up for said luxury, you can’t afford it. This isn’t applicable to cars and houses, this is for things like earbuds, makeup, DoorDash. Things people keep financing that they shouldn’t.

Got a referral to oncology/hematology today and called to make my appointment and the place won’t call me back for 14 days and I won’t be seen for at least 6 months. In case anyone wanted to know how the healthcare system in New Mexico is running.

One thing that nobody really talks about when it comes to running is how expensive running shoes are and how important it is to replace them BEFORE they get uncomfortable or else you’re stuck with knee pain for a few days (minimum) and possibly foot pain
