JFC. I know the world is extremely gloomy and dark right now. I think maybe removing myself from the stream of info for a bit might be good for the anxiety/ depression/ settling sense of fatalism….

This is saying something about the state of the world. I caught the tail end of a DJ doing a commemoration for 9/11 victims&I didn’t immediately realize TODAY is 9/11. I just figured that something else horrible happened in our country overnight&this was breaking news. And I wasn’t even surprised?

I *way* over-peopled on Saturday and had to spend the rest of the day recovering. However, it was for really good reasons AND today has been fulfilling on many levels. I even remembered to stage my coffee needs for the morning. I think I shall end the day with #Murdle and good music.

I cannot begin to describe the ridiculous levels of red tape, miscommunication, and general 🤷🏻♀️ that I have encountered, simply while trying to ensure my child’s medication can be administered at school. I don’t understand why it has to be this messy.

So our cat (4ish yo) and dog (2 yo) haven’t ever gotten along. We have a system that’s been fine. Since we started the cat on anxiety meds, tonight is the 5th time they’ve sleepily cohabited on our bed.

I will forever be endlessly grateful for children’s #meditation sleep stories. 9yo is such a fan and they 100% help her fall asleep and sleep easier. For a kiddo with lifelong sleep issues, this is a godsend.

One of the ways my family loves on each other is through little “hey I thought of you with this” moments. It can be an emailed news article, a container of homemade pasta salad, sharing a bookmark, or sending videos that remind us of each other. It makes me so happy 😃

We’ve had our cat for 4 years, dog for 2. They rarely coexist in the same room together. Last night, for 20 minutes, the dog snoozed on the foot of the bed&the cat snuggled into me at the top. First time ever! I nearly interrupted my partner’s therapy session to share the breakthrough 😂

I’m going to gush for a moment here but I really love the #ttrpg community and especially the Discord server(s) I am a part of. Seeing other people geek out and get excited over the same stuff as me, and also feeling like it’s an inclusive and welcoming environment? Cant beat that!

Look. I support 99.5% of what my therapist has helped me learn. The one thing I will continue to fight against is her desire to end M’s occasional cosleeping before she’s ready.

I saw this done on the old site a few years ago at Xmas when people were solo or w/out plans. Things feel bigheavyscary right now. So: virtual cozy drop in gathering in my giant, TARDIS-like treehouse. Blankets, squishies, bottles of water. Some gentle lighting. Bring w/e you want. #bettertogether
