And it’s going to require massive institutional reform, the sort of which we never want to talk about because we decide it can’t be done while we’re passing health care legislation or Build Back Better. If we don’t do it again, this time around, it will take generations to fix, & we’ll be here again
- DC/PR/USVI statehood
- Enlarging the House
- MMDs
- New VRA
- Totally revamping SCOTUS: bsky.app/profile/mcop...
- Automatic universal voter registration
- Rewriting the "national emergency" laws: bsky.app/profile/mcop...
- Subordinating the Senate: bsky.app/profile/mcop...
Etc.
👇🎯💯

Again, the needs to be & all the committees & commissions that want to Do A Popularism & focus on Kitchen Table Issues are engaged in a category mistake about What Democrats Must Do the next time they ever have power.

This is what we need, a representative that isn’t afraid to work hard for their goals. Someone willing to meet their constituents where they are. We have a chance to vote someone like this in on December 2nd. Go out and vote!

I don't know how this will end, but I do know IF Trump signs this "release the Epstein files" bill, I want a huge poster of that signature page for my next protest sign.

"Now that the so-called discharge petition that would force a vote on the Epstein files has the backing of 218 members, their signatures are frozen and cannot be removed," even if one of the members who signed the petition left Congress or died. NYT Michael Gold 11/12/25

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

Dear Senators Shaheen, Hassan and King: While I disagree with the deal you negotiated, I respect you.

But GOP Senators do not respect you. They spat in your faces by secretly including a corrupt provision to pay 8 GOP Senators.

I request that you reverse this provision in Jan.
This allows Trump (via DOJ) to use taxpayer money to bribe eight GOP Senators. It's that simple, there's no other way to describe it.

And where's the compensation for people injured by the Trump admin's unlawful conduct through DHS & DOGE?

Take a bow, @schumer.senate.gov, you did this.

Do not allow the "bots" on line to persuade you not to vote for or support Democrats in future elections. They are out in full force and want you to get madder at Dems than the MAGA who caused this. We have to focus on getting MAGA out first.

I'm trying to keep up with all the analysis of the Dem offer to Reps. My initial reaction is oh hell no, but I am also listening to the rationale for it and will stand by to see if this turns out to be a good thing. I will not stop my efforts to ensure we have no kings in the U.S. no matter what.
