Gunner since 1996, living in Louisville - rational but passionate
Fox does relatively well with #WEURO2025 commentary, then for England - Italy forces viewers to mute the pregame by putting Lalas back on the coverage. There are hundreds of more qualified people they could have instead of his rubbish.

History of fan complaints each summer...

2020 - 35m for unproven Gabriel
2021 - 50m for a skinny White
2022 - Arteta ruined Saliba leaving him in France too long
2023 - Havertz is rubbish
2024 - Merino isn't versatile enough

Online fans are terrible at analysis and foresight

Arsenal were
- league runners up 3 seasons in a row between 1999 & 2001
- FA Cup semi-finalists in 1999 & runners up in 2001
- knocked out of all 3 cup competitions in 2000 on penalties
- lost UEFA Cup final in 2000.

They then won 2 PL titles & 3 FA Cups in the next 4 seasons.

We go again!

ICYMI | On the anxiety beneath the pageantry of this Kentucky Derby, felt by workers who tend to horses before most of Louisville is awake. Many are immigrants. Many are on legal visas. All are watching the news and wondering what might happen next. www.wdrb.com/sports/kentu...

Adam pretty well summarizes and nails exactly how limited the view is for a good chunk of the fan base (and the vast majority of ITK accounts on the other platform)
The squad depth/rotation discourse is another that has become mind-bending with time. Clubs are meant to find players who are:
-not too expensive (fee or wages)
-happy to only start unimportant matches
-good enough to win those
-good enough to step in without dropoff when injury occurs

Hard to watch the Brad Pitt piece with all the new administration is doing. "We" is incredible when we are all part of it, rather than losing community members to brown shirts or entire swaths of people being told they don't matter. We have a lot of work to do to make sure "We" can happen again.

I think this is a fair, balanced assessment
Best I can do:
- lack of the pure dynamism of our competition
- this play-style requires intensity
- injuries beget injuries, so the remaining players look barely fit and connections look cold
- a temperamental and tactical aversion to the middle
- a dose of bad variance/luck
That was bad. Period.

Question is: why were we so shit?

Kinda bad luck to draw a match on these stats. Kudos to Everton on always having that last gasp leg out to maintain the clean sheet.
