Arsenal, food and politics. Mostly Arsenal. Especially these days
What on earth could explain Liverpool’s loss of form? Hmmm…Salah hasn’t been thermonuclear. They didn’t strengthen defense or midfield. And they lost a generational talent in TAA. Gosh. What could it be?

Are City that good or Liverpool that bad?

We really need our attackers back. Missed Ødegaard and Kai a lot against Sunderland.
Arsenal have played six of the bottom seven teams so far in the Premier League.

They have only played three of the top seven and dropped points in all three matches. Two more of the top seven in their next two fixtures.

I don’t understand why teams don’t use “gimmick” defenses against Man City. Have 1 man assigned to mark Haaland the entire game, follow him everywhere. Play the rest of the game 10 v 10. I know, it’s a positional nightmare but still…just shut down MonsterBoy and take your chances with everyone else

There’s just something about this year’s Arsenal that feels different. In a good way

Apropos of nothing: I really hope Declan Rice is enjoying himself this season. Just seems like it’s what he wanted when he joined. So happy he can get it.

How the hell does Haaland keep getting so many chances? Some of it is him and the balls from Cherki et al but, man, defense seems naive

Thomas Frank looks like he’s haunted by something.

Bukayo Saka is good. That is all

You can really see the difference between the players who are first team regulars vs others when it come to pressing

That is FUCKING BULLSHIT

Can we get Ryan Ruocco and Rebeca Lobo on NBA games as well? They’re really good and way better than some of the pairings that do the men’s game… @espn.com @abcsports.bsky.social

Great strike but where was the shield in front of the defense? Abject structure from LIV

I can’t believe I’m about to say this but…I think this game might suit merino up front more than Gyok. There’s just no space to run into and a LOT of balls in the air.

Calafiori is popping up on the right a LOT

60 years ago tomorrow (on the Jewish calendar): Sandy Koufax sits out Game One of the World Series because of Yom Kippur. Koufax lost Game Two, yielding two runs (one earned) in six innings. He pitched a shutout in Game Five and another complete game shutout on two days rest in Game Seven to clinch.

Children warming up. Literal children

Can we just apppreciate the depth of the squad. I know it’s not a new sentiment but this kind of rotation is really good for everyone.

As frustrating as it is to have our finishing not quite be clinical enough, I’m really enjoying the chance creation. The goals will come
