Not too bad a day to travel through Aberdeenshire. Good trip on the 35 from Cullen to Aberdeen. The colours! 😻 #PublicTransport #MitherTap #SummerHoliday

#Cullen has not let us down 🎉: kids enjoyed the surfing lessons and we made a cat pal 😻, we've eaten outside a lot despite iffy weather and #publictransport getting here was easy peasy. Strong recommendation for fish suppers. Fish is delish. And Lily's Cullen Skink.

I feel vindicated in dropping our Uist visit (much as it broke my heart and I am in envy of all the folk I know who have been recently or are due to go across). Relying as we do on public transport it was too risky. However, Cullen beckons. #SmallTownHolidays

Really sad to hear Sir Geoff Palmer has passed away. I remember being in a seminar he was speaking at - captivating and gracious. His legacy is a powerful one, making us reckon with our past. RIP.

Again, Glasgow, what's with taxi drivers demanding cash not card? Aggressively. Really weird. 😒 Had to go 4 down the rank to get a driver who wasn't moaning about using a card.
Everyone else reinforced the friendly reputation: Premier Inn, Hydro, Thai Orchid, Fanny Trollope's, train station etc.

Loved this woodcut from today's seminar on religious archives and special collections. It's Luther. (ref Dd.2.72.)

I do love Amarelo on Causewayside. They have the best customer service, tastiest sandwiches (I can't forget to mention the Basque cheesecake) and such good #coffee - in an actual mug. Having a luxury pitstop on the way to work as school is off so no children to wrangle. 🎉☀️ #Edinburgh #civilised
