"Trump has made it his explicit policy to ‘cultivate resistance’ in the UK and elsewhere.

So yes, I think that counts as foreign interference"

This quote is from #SirEdDavey, leader of the UK Lib Dems regarding the #Trump Administration's visa barring of two UK citizens. I TOTALLY agree with him.

Keir Starmer says it is in Britain’s interests to “align more closely with the EU single market” and “we should”.

Interestingly this is one of his most passionate answers in a long interview.

I think we can expect movement on this issue in 2026. Brexit still remains an unsettled matter.

The UK has been patrolling Syria since 2015 as part of its contribution to the international coalition against Daesh, consistent with UNSC Resolution 2249.

The aim: to prevent any attempted resurgence of Daesh (ISIS / ISIL).

Last night the UK & France carried out a joint strike for this aim.

Its previously been made clear that this would only apply to people who have had their claim rejected, but who are still here appealing & who have significant personal assets - most of whom would be visa overstayers.

Which I'm sure Farrukh knows.

There's no criticism for "getting accommodation".
Surreal, Keir Starmer spews populist far right drivel criticising asylum seekers for getting accommodation, knowing full well that government denies asylum seekers the right to work, which if they did have, they would allow them to pay for their own accommodation while seeking asylum

Welcome to 2026

#Trump's actions in Venezuela just gave #China the green light to take #Taiwan by force.

#Trump has emboldened all autocratic and nationalistic leaders like himself to do whatever they want, take whatever they want by force and to hell with national and international laws.

Not to mention the 500 British citizens stuck in Venezuela. They will be at the top of the PMs concerns. I have lost all patience with the Greens (AKA not Greens but perennially needy far left). They’re all stuck in the 1980s. They make me sick and drag this country backwards.

Or could it happen again?
After neutralising parliament, dictator Hitler unlawfully annexed the Sudetenland. The Allies made noises of protest but ultimately let him get away with it, emboldening Hitler's next move on Austria.

Not sure what made me think of that, but thank goodness that could never happen again...
