This is an important dimension to the BBC saga. The internet age undermines traditional broadcasting empires. As Murdoch hates the competition, Trump hates facts over 'alternative facts'. Turning the BBC into a RW mouthpiece serves both their ends - less objective information.
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

This is the reason why I believe #RobbieGibb should be sacked from the Board of the BBC. Unacceptable and unprofessional behavior from a member of the board. Editorial decisions should not be made by Board Members - decisions on editorial matters should ultimately by made by the editorial team.
