80% of adulthood is pretending you’re not sick, “it must be just allergies.”

The other 20% is trying to power through it the next day, hoping it’s just one of those 24-hour bugs.

I finally figured out what my book is about and cranked out 5,000+ words in a single day! (Yay ADHD hyperfocus!)

What percentage of executive presence do you think is just emotional regulation during frustrating, tense, and high-stakes moments?

I'd say it's a substantial part! Maybe 60-70% of what we perceive as "executive presence" comes down to how well someone manages their emotions.

From time to time I run my writing through AI/plagiarism detector and discover… I am AI!

"Was [he promoted] because of his skin color? Or his skill? We’ll never know, but always doubt" is such a wild thing to write, like you are literally just saying "I am a racist"
Just look at these paragraphs from the AP story.

Hegseth called Brown unqualified solely because he's Black. Then they fired him... and replaced him with a white guy so indisputably unqualified that he requires a Presidential waiver.

This is what "merit" means to them.

As an alternative to meds there should be an ADHD service that provides an executive coach and assistant to help make decisions, a therapist to manage anxiety and a team of deep huggers with cats and dogs to regulate emotions and boost dopamine.

Okay meds easier and cheaper.

There’s this idea that you should be always focused and present to be productive. But it’s neither possible nor desirable.

Different states work for different tasks. E.g., mind wandering is better for creativity.

Something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. How people probably don’t choose to remain ignorant for the sake of ignorance. They must have other motivations!

And if it’s not competence they are motivated by, then we’re left with either autonomy or relatedness.
