Today’s "The Daily" features Astead Herndon circling back with pro-Trump autoworkers in Michigan to get their take on tariffs and their feelings about Trump overall.

They're still all-in for Trump. One said even if she loses her job, she won't blame Trump because "at least he's doing something." 😩

Not for nothing but everyone realizes that these teenagers and 20 somethings who have complete access to the Treasury payment source code are now #1 espionage recruitment targets for Russia and China, right?

This is so spot-on.🎯
there is a 24/7 right-wing propaganda apparatus that operates across multiple mediums and it designed to do exactly this: smother any kind of local, material concern with cultural war signifiers and cultivate a “political affiliation as team sport” ethos
Montana is the clearest place to see the nationalization of US politics. Whole Dem ticket was multigenerational MT hunters & farmers in bolo ties. Dem gov candidate owned a gun manufacturer. GOP slate was outta state tech.

Whole race was dominated by natl culture war & southern border, GOP sweep

Yes. Imagine if enough US Senators had done the right thing and voted to convict Trump after his second impeachment for the attempted coup. If only.
Imagine if we did this on January 7th

Happy belated birthday to Jimi Hendrix. (I drew this portrait of him in college for a friend's birthday.) Fun fact: my dad was the general contractor for Electric Lady Studios in the late '60s and met Hendrix. (though being mostly a jazz and folk fan at the time, he wasn't familiar with his music)

Don’t sweat the small stuff. Eventually, the sun will vaporize the earth while in its red giant phase so whatevs.
Anyway here’s a cheerful piece about how the Sun will eventually destroy all life on Earth (but not by exploding, so, you know, there’s that)
Here’s how the Sun will end all life on Earth
Our home star won't go supernova, but the end of its life will be no less spectacular.

This. It’s extortion.
I think the wrong questions r being asked about the proposed tariffs. The real question Is how little will he accept from Mexico , Canada and China in order to be able to say the threat of tariffs worked ?

To my four followers – lol. I finally left the bad place after 12 years. Deactivated. So happy to be in this place that is nontoxic and not controlled by a supervillain.

The idea that Bluesky is insular and X is a place for diverse views is a fallacy.

X is based on an algorithm rigged to push the views of Musk and others on the far right.

Bluesky is open. You can make it whatever you want it to be.
