Proud to have spent the day in Albany advocating w/ @transalt.org @streetspac.org to rein in Super Speeders on our streets. And delighted to have seen a Vision Zero ally as soon as I entered the building.

Elections may not be on everyone’s brains right now but if you live in the 36th or 74th Assembly districts of NYC, you’ve got a chance to elect two great leaders to office. Safe streets ahead with @keithpowersnyc.bsky.social @dianaforqueens.com in office!
We're excited to endorse Diana Moreno and Keith Powers for NYS State Assembly in February 3rd's special election! Read more about our endorsement of @dianaforqueens.com and @keithpowersnyc.bsky.social here: www.streetspac.org/diana_moreno...

Happy new book day & huge congrats to the @thewaroncars.bsky.social crew. I’m very excited to read this book & am already touched by the dedication page. I’m taking it as a collective ‘our.’ Things have to change in a big way for the next generation to even have a chance.

What kind of tree wrap is that though? I’ve had parks department experts point out the dangers to a tree’s health if it’s wrapped and can’t properly wick moisture, shed bark (depending on tree type), etc. Cute idea though overall!

Considering the consistent bottleneck of crowds exiting the D-N-R at Barclays, has there ever been thought to make a 2nd entrance at the platform's southern end at Bergen St? Wouldn't it help immensely? @2avesag.as @mta.info @cmshahanahanif.bsky.social @ridersalliance.org @brooklynspoke.bsky.social

Amazing this is how DOT does a Greenway.

I presume he’ll be a future Mayor still, and will be excellent at it.

When I think about Cuomo’s “management” style I of course think about how it drove away Byford, but also about this story and how Cuomo’s behavior was part of what led a man to suicide. www.nytimes.com/2021/01/15/n...

It’s insane that there are people who think this is a burden on the community and would rather this is just vehicle parking & thru traffic. #StreetsAreForKids Cc @thewaroncars.bsky.social

I think logistics also plays a factor. DOT spends 18+ months probably analyzing a corridor, designing, presenting unofficially, then officially, and then when it gets gummed up by a CB or elected and has no backbone from City Hall, they can’t just whip out another project ready to go w/o more staff.
May 17, 2025 at 1:16 PM
Agreed! Though some council members also fight DOT tooth and nail when it offers up a project. Both side deserve blame for this epic fail.

oops. thanks!

I assume you’re not ranking Jim Walden either? What about Michael Blake? Thanks for sharing your list!

Isn’t this extremely more likely with the upcoming widening of 6th Ave #bikenyc lane? Has @nycdot.bsky.social committed to any sort of bollards to prevent such rampant abuse by cars?
February 26, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Jim Walden also has no place on any sane person’s ballot IMHO.

Three faces I’d be fine to never see in government, or frankly anywhere, any more.
