To anybody who has done a self-hosted blog before: what technologies did you use? Just curious about what's out there, as I'm thinking of starting one up myself.

Might just write markdown files and host them to be honest.

After spending a few more months working in it, I'm convinced that InertiaJS + Laravel is my favorite web-dev stack to date. Combines my favorite parts of MVC and JS SPA development.

Also big ups to using vite instead of webpack, holy shit it's so much better than webpack.

Laravel Jetstream with InertiaJS using React is really neat tbh, having a lot of fun with this.

Today I woke up and felt just awful, like genuinely terrible. Made some coffee, pet the dog, nothing helped.

Then I opened up PHPStorm, basked in the warmth of my code, and found renewed purpose and motivation.

PHP is the light.
