I can't remember the last time I worked in a team that wasn't multicultural. Stronger for it.

Every time anyone from the Trump Regime speaks about their violence and killing they sound exactly like a domestic abuser saying that the partner they abused made them do it.

It’s so utterly revolting at the most basic human level.

Watched Tron Ares this evening.

Kristi and I spent the entire film wondering if the other was going to switch it off.

Bad script, bad soundtrack.

There's a saying in Germany:

When there are 11 people at the table and one of them is a Nazi and 10 don't speak out, then there are 11 Nazis at the table.

I know life is never as easy and clearcut as this, as on a moral level. I just wanted to leave it here.

It’s utterly disgusting that at least one British newspaper is describing the USA intentions towards Greenland as a ‘takeover’, instead of as a ‘hostile invasion’.

Hug your friends and loved ones. Always keep them close. Be curious as to what they’re up to. Make space. Make time.
Don’t wait to celebrate them when they’re gone.
Celebrate them now while they’re still alive and building legacies.

I was surprised to learn that there doesn’t seem to be a clear CIO or CTO role at the OBR.

It’s unreasonable to expect an economist or a CEO to understand what actually happens when one publishes content via a content management system.

Specialist skills need specialist roles.

Sadly, my local Labour MP has shown little interest in paying attention to letters from constituents.

I wrote to her at the start of the year about telecom regulation; several months later, she replied with a stock answer about the Levenson II inquiry.

Never heard from her again after that.

First impressions of the #Blackstar Debut 100RH amp head: very happy.

Bought it to be an affordable pedal platform amp. Goes *really* well with Celestion V-Type speaker IRs.

It’s going to get a lot of use!

* UAD Woodrow does this, but only emulates a jumpered 5e3 amp.

I’ll get one in 2026 and cover it on the #HomeToneBlog. I’ll also do an A/B comparison with the Deluxe55, and some others.

I *might* have a Lazy J 10LC by then to do an A/B comparison too.

It’s on the bucket list 🙂

Would have *loved* it if, instead of switching channels, the pedal switched between jumpered and unjumpered modes.

With bonus points for separate Normal and Bright inputs, and toggle switch to go between Inputs 1 & 2.

That would be a magical 5e3 AIAB pedal.
November 4, 2025 at 7:07 PM
From the YouTube demos and the online manual, the two channels don’t seem to be interactive.

I was really hoping that this would be the first pedal to do that*

It’s kinda crazy that no AIAB pedal does the one thing that makes the 5e3 circuit special.

Looking at the just-released @thorpyfx.bsky.social The J pedal.

AFAIK, this is the only 5e3-style pedal to offer separate normal and bright channels.

Oh, and we can switch between them too.

Props for making something that gives new options to players.
