Finally got to watch a movie I waited almost 15 years to watch and... it was ok-ish. Maybe I built it up in my mind because I had a huge crush on the film teacher that spoke so highly of it. It had some interesting visuals and scenes, but the end is so anticlimactic it actually pissed me off!

My only answer as a creator is to try and take what I find beautiful, to take what has made stories like Lord of the Rings resonate with so many people, and to explore those ideas in a way that does not replicate the racism. But to identify the good, you *need* to identify the bad.

Something I wanna pass along to all my animation peers going through troubling times, struggling to find work, ect. If you have to step out of the industry and take work elsewhere to survive it DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE FAILED. This is a worry knocking around in the back of my head a lot.

Day 31 of #MÖRKTOBER is Pumpkins! A gruesome gaggle of gourds tumbles out from the haunted fields! All faces have grown into the sturdy flesh and blast visages of fallen wretches who's blood seeped into the soil. Souls are twisted amongst the vines and leaves! Happy Halloween!
