Monday morning, looking back on a brief but very enjoyable weekend spent with good friends & family. A proper flying visit...to somewhere that will always feel like home. #STFC

My 16 yr old is making the argument, quite persuasively, that the Botan Ameen might be tempted to sign another contract with #STFC. In his interests to stay on, at least for another 12 months. I'd love this.

If only we could extend the regular season to the end of May, we'd be play off contenders. (As in, serious promotion candidates.) #STFC

A 4-0 win in the sunshine. Love days like these.

Thanks for the company @crystall-tips.bsky.social, @moonraked.bsky.social.

We had Liberation Day in the village yesterday.
I played Rule Britannia on a carrot.
Jill in the village shop put a 25% tariff on her baps.
Bunty my wife had some Ketamine.
We concluded a free trade deal with the nearby village of Wimborne St Giles.
And we all ate roast penguin.

It's been a while. First #STFC away day since early Feb & the glorious 5-1 at Brunton Park. A little further to travel tomorrow, but we're ready. 🙏 🔴 ⚪

Looking fwd, as ever, to seeing a good number of the old early-2000s London Reds crowd.

Many of my Saturday afternoons are spent wandering aimlessly around supermarkets...while looking at my phone every 2 mins in the hope of a good news update from a lower league football match 400 miles away.

Fascinatingly, of all 24 teams in League 2 - #STFC is currently the most likely to be there again next season. We'd have all taken that immediately if offered a few months ago.
Defeats for Morecambe and Carlisle reduce the relegation chances further, but the late equaliser also reduces any possibility of an unlikely run for the play-offs... almost a 97% chance that there is nothing left to play for this season, but of course far better than a few weeks ago!

#ClemItsTime to sell. Decent and very vocal turnout after the game today to leave Clem and The Crooks in no doubt that they're no longer wanted

Really quite pleased with the 3-3. Now that we have points on the board, it's possible - unlike a few months back - to take pleasure from a solid point against a strong League 2 side. Proper team effort.

That's a lovely looking flag you've got there behind you, Tom.

In the space of 3 weeks, the relegation probability moves from 31% to 3.3%.

Are we safe yet? Not quite. But getting there. 🙏

Yesterday was wonderful.

And this week's update. Despite some of the other teams around us picking up wins today, we're still better off than 7 days ago. Same methodology: games in hand worth 1 point/game.

18 Accrington 31
19 SWINDON 31
20 Harrogate 29
21 Newport 29
22 Tranmere 28
---‐----
23 Carlisle 23
24 Morecambe 22
Games in hand at the bottom of the table are broadly worth 1 point/game. So bringing all the teams around us up to the same 27 games we've played, and the table would look like this:

18 Newport 29
19 Harrogate 29
20 Accrington 28
21 SWINDON 28
22 Tranmere 27
---‐----
23 Morecambe 22
24 Carlisle 20

Westley!!

He's been here 5 mins, scores a debut goal. And already has an area of the town named after him. 👏

Pleased to see that, after yesterday's round of results, our relegation probability - as calculated by the excellent @townenders.com - has fallen from 31% to 22%. Not out of the woods yet, but moving in the right direction.

For no particular reason, I decided to consult the match day programme collection to find out when my path first crossed with Ian Holloway's.

Evening, bsky.app/profile/town.... when are you next planning to run the #STFC relegation probability simulation? Should be looking a little less likely now?

Listened to the pod on the way in to work this morning. Key 'take away': these people know what they're doing.

What the fanbase has been missing, badly, up until now is a focal point to coalesce around. And now we have it with 'The Spirit of 69'. Thanks, gents.
