Congratulations. The really big milestone comes in to view now.

The hope is that we're still in the hunt in Jan, and that Villa will value the experience that playing in a promotion-chasing side would give him. 🤞 #STFC

So Max Headroom shagged James Hewitt?

POTM = Munroe. He was everywhere. The game ebbed & flowed with disappointingly long periods of ebb. Just about deserved the draw. But we could so easily have been reflecting on back to back defeats...so I'll take it.

Genuinely interested to know how the download figures compare after a heavy defeat. (I'm listening all the same.)

It's bleak. There will be plenty of 2050s memoirs written by Labour figures confessing that they knew the #palestineaction proscription was wrong at the time.

Parallels with last Saturday at Barrow. Better side, a deserved win, but patchy at times. Squad depth a big + this year. We'll win plenty of games in the 2nd half. POTM = Munroe.

A great first game this season for our car load from down from Scotland. A solid win. Very much enjoyed seeing Mabete continue to settle in at the back, and Oldaker looked lively. But you feel there was another gear there. We went quiet for periods in both halves. Still, positive. POTM = Mabete.

Nearly lost me in the first 5 mins with (a) Oxford might be on the M4; and (b) who's Scott Leitch? But you brought it back in style. Thanks again, gents.

How bleak.

Just awful. And now the 'lump it to Smith' game plan has been cruelly taken from us. Where now?
August 20, 2025 at 6:02 AM
It's a solid start. But a chaotic one with little in the way of a pattern or a visible strategy. It could a number of different ways from here. Never boring!

Really enjoyed this one. Thanks, gents.

1. Squad stability (relative to what we've been used to.) Hope that we might, for once, be able to build on something +ve from season before.

2. Nothing fundamental has changed off the field. Nagging fear that we're always one ownership revelation away from everything blowing up again.

3. 5th.

What do you infer from the lack of a detailed statement from the Board following the redevelopment vote failure? Are they busy planning things, or simply out of ideas?
June 22, 2025 at 7:36 PM
But the reality, it feels to me, is that this is a VONC in the owners. Even if the 308 non-voting members had all voted & voted in favour, we'd still only be at 62.2% in favour - so we'll short of the 75.0% needed. The Trust (no pun intended) isn't there, and will never be there.
June 13, 2025 at 10:42 AM
My concern is that, with a 50.1% 'majority' vote in favour of redevelopment, the result will be seen as a bump in the road by the owners & that they'll plough on with Plan A.

Compensation, perhaps, for York City's tough play off experience this year?

Wouldn't normally comment on the name of a rival club's podcast - but how completely demeaning for Grimsby to be allocated the DN35 postal district! They must be a VERY small town in Doncaster.

Definitely. Great away day, this one. Had a bit of everything.

We did. I only had to drive the last 25 miles...Craig did all the rest.
