The judge in Oregon understands America is under a literal imminent fascist assault; the judge in Illinois does not. This is how we tell the difference. Trump and his goons face no irreparable harm, but Illinois does. The injunction needed to be issued immediately, before the illegal invasion began.
Update: Illinois asked a judge to block the Trump administration from federalizing the Illinois National Guard and from sending Guard members from other states, but the judge declined to do so, for now.

It seems clear—I think to everyone, now—that a false and illegal invocation of the Insurrection Act is coming before the end of the year. Media outlets should be telling us how they will prepare for this potential Treason. State governments should be telling us. Activists should be developing plans.
