Instead of having to travel to various capitals to reassure foreign leaders, these US lawmakers could just impeach the mofo.
In Denmark, U.S. lawmakers contradict Trump on Greenland
Leaders of the bipartisan delegation said most Americans don’t want to acquire the territory, and thousands of Danes joined “Hands-off Greenland” protests.

Congrats again to everyone who treated “Which 🇺🇸 political party has moved further from the political center in the 21st century?” as a serious topic of debate & a prelude to piles of articles about how <checks notes> The Democrats needed to moderate their increasingly extreme policy positions
The absence of any public pushback from the Republican Party on a situation as insane as Trump is rapidly reaching on Greenland is itself a huge sign of how far gone the US already is.

Again, I’m going to keep banging the lonely drum that the fact that we are threatening the territorial sovereignty of our closest allies is a gross violation of our UN & NATO treaty obligations, poses a massive threat to national security & world order, & should immediately end this presidency.
Danish Foreign Minster Lars Løkke Rasmussen speaks after WH meeting: "For us, ideas that would not respect the territorial of the Kingdom of Denmark and the right of self-determination of the Greenlandic people are of course totally unacceptable. We therefore still have a fundamental disagreement."

Det er helt sprøtt at måten man nå prøver å få Trump til å droppe sine grønlandsambisjoner på er å forsøke å ta fra ham budsjettmidler i stedet for å simpelthen si "Nei! Det er uaktuelt!"
This is encouraging from Congress to protect Greenland🇬🇱 and the Kingdom of Denmark🇩🇰 and preserve NATO.

Not preregistered, but I only checked this term, because in moderating hundreds of papers a month on SocArXiv, I saw the phrase "proposed framework" appearing in a lot of AI slop, short, data-free, superficially written papers with dramatic claims to originality and importance. Voila.

I'm sure there are a few native Americans who will be interested in his opinions on boats and land owning......🤨
Trump: "I'm a fan of Denmark too. They've been very nice to me. But the fact that they had a boat land there [Greenland] 500 years ago doesn't mean they own the land. I'm sure we had lots of boats go there also."

"The fact that they landed a boat there 500 years ago doesn't mean they own the land" is a helluva take for any european-descent american
Because if we don’t, Russia or China will take over Greenland, and we’re not going to have Russia or China as our neighbor.

The fact that they landed a boat there 500 years ago doesn’t mean they own the land.

It's also wild that this hasn't ended Trump's presidency immediately. We used to be a serious country, where things mattered. Or maybe we never were, & it's just the mask being fully ripped off. Hard to tell, frankly. Observationally equivalent.

Venezuela har 17,5 % av verdens oljereserver. Til sammenligning har Norge 0,5.
President Trump appears to be counting heavily on U.S. intervention in the oil industry to help transform Venezuela, a proposition that could prove to be complicated and expensive. Here’s what to know about the country’s oil industry.

This is not Trump being stupid, tho Trump is a very stupid person. This is not Trump being played, tho Trump is one of the most easily manipulated people who’s ever lived. No, the truth is scarier. This is Trump working for & siding with Putin. This is Trump, the Russian asset.
Trump: "Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed. It sounds a little strange but President Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding, including supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices."
