I never post about local politics for obvious reasons. But only one woman elected to City Council? Regardless of how you feel about any of the individual candidates, that is not a good outcome.

Commuting by WRTA this morning. Bus was on time and fare free - Can’t beat that! Have a bit of a walk from the hub to work, but it’s a perfect morning for it. (1/2) #WeekWithoutDriving

Beautiful day to commute by bike. 15 min door to door mostly along Pleasant St, which is just about the same as it takes by car. Evening return is always a bit rougher…heavier traffic and less patient drivers. (1/2).

In the Fulton Market neighborhood of Chicago this AM having coffee and watching more people commute in by bike and scooter than by car. Bonus points: Metra trains every few minutes.

East Bay Bike Path and Colt State Park in Bristol, RI today. Wow - what a beautiful, albeit busy, trail. Saw osprey, egrets, a heron, cormorants, gulls, turkeys, bunnies, muskrats, and a (very nearby) deer! Highly recommended.

Great use of street art in Worcester’s Main South to beautify the area, build community, & improve safety for all. TY Main South CDC for securing the grant & organizing this event. Glad Worcester DTM could offer support. Looking forward to its completion next week. PC David Jerry. #streetsforpeople

Tens of Thousands in Boston for Pride/No Kings. Celebrating, supporting, protesting. And nobody was paid to be there.

The City of Worcester’s Cultural Development Division, Cultural Coalition and most of all the artists knocked this one out of the park! It’s so fun to discover these around the city. Glad DTM could provide the “canvas”.

Lucky enough to watch Rickey Henderson play in person several times as a kid. Nobody dominated once they got on base like he did. His base running became a game within the game.
