I just finished and framed my toucan painting! Midway through this I got really worried about the colors but a few washes over the background safed it from beeing too green.
I used Turner Acryla Gouache, Roman Szmal Aquarell and Schmicke Designer Gouache on Hahnemühle Bamboo Paper.

Little update wip on this toucan painting. Turned a lot greener than planned but who am I to complain 😂

Saw this lovely Northern Cardinal pair yesterday doing a little courtship feeding. Check out the colors on the female. She’s likely been around some time; cardinals are one of numerous species where older females will start to look more like males.

Started another bird for some relaxing painting. The rough gouache shadows are down, now comes the aquarel colors.

WIP (work in progress) of a painted toucan. Acrylic gouache was used for the darkest shadows, the rest of the art is sill a pencil sketch. A watercolor pelette is laying on the paper.
