Though I prefer The Last Jedi, the lightsaber flying into Rey's hands in the woods is one of the most thrilling moments of the whole franchise, and generated one of the loudest responses I've ever heard in a theater. Force Awakens is fun! Like you say, JJ's love of the original movies is infections.
