My final day with my daughter before she goes to uni - and after three years or so, her starting word came up on Wordle today. Feels slightly poignant somehow...

I was looking for photo resource of "imps" the other week and found an incredible image from 1796, with some superb "tag yourself" opportunities for you and your friends. If this gets three likes and one re-post, I'm done with this place.

Maine Road was my first big gig and I'll be in Cardiff on Saturday. My predicted 20 tracks is remarkably similar to this. They'll definitely play Songbird for Liam and would expect Columbia & I Am The Walrus. Hope they'll throw in something leftfield like Married With Children.

Oh man. Brian Wilson. That's a blow. Can't believe it's 20 years since I saw him at Glastonbury. After a biblical deluge and two days of thick mud and drizzle, the sun rightly came out for his set

I've absolutely no love for Man Utd. And yet I find myself cheering for them tonight. Spurs fans seem to think they have a monopoly on bad luck. They really don't. But let's let them carry on believing. Also: Tottenham insisting we call them 'Tottenham Hotspur'. Nonsense

It's always nice seeing Ronnie O'Sullivan on the TV. And a chance for me to say smugly that on my only visit to the Crucible, I saw young Ronnie hit a 147 in 5 minutes against Mick Price #snooker

I'm putting it out there. Legend from Gladiators is genuinely one of the funniest people around. Can he and Barney swap places?

Counter offer. How about Canada's 10 provinces become states 51 to 60... thereby securing the senate for Democrats (forever) and then immediately bring back Trump's impeachment proceedings?

As ever, most of the comments here and (especially) the other place are negative. But there's loads of good stuff on the line-up as always. Shakey in 2009 at Glasto remains my favourite-ever gig. I'll definitely be trying for the re-sale

Does anyone remember that time the BBC ran a poll to find the greatest British people of all time and Michael Crawford came 17th? Utterly bizarre. Anyway, I managed to get 63 of them on Sporcle - some other rogue entries on there too.

Happy Transfer Deadline Day to those who celebrate. This is my 42nd at Sky Sports. The first saw a young lad called Wayne Rooney move from Everton to Manchester Utd. Wonder what happened to him...?
