Real Reindeer Are More Amazing Than You Ever Imagined
Glowing noses, or hooves that go click-click-click? Real reindeer are actually even more spectacular than their fictional counterparts.

Decided on Johnny Rocket as the name of this beauty. (See prior post about naming sandwiches.) Based this on the etymology of arugula and since we added an apple, ode to Johnny Appleseed. Side of JoJos. #medawislatastes #medawislalaughs

Do you name your sandwiches? The question is, what to name this panini? (Order TBD but) a cheese spread (goat & cream cheese) with capers, 1/2 a fire roasted red pepper, pile of baby arugula, hummus (swiss chard), sliced honey crisp apple, (tempeh) bacon, and purple onion, on potato bread?

Today marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We are holding in our heart the children who never came home from residential schools, and the families whose lives have been forever changed. We honour residential school survivors, who had their names, languages, and cultures torn away.

Nature is disappearing from our language and our lives. @grist.org
The words we use to talk about nature are disappearing. Here’s why that matters.
We’ll need to do more than ‘touch grass’ to revive them.
