I drove through this today. It is a very active, two-way greenway crossing.
There was NOTHING telling me as a driver to look both ways. Nothing.
Despite being the vulnerable users, bicyclists and peds are held to a higher standard of safety every time so we can avoid motor vehicle blame and delay.

I think what would be better and more cost effective than a HAWK pedestrian signal is just plain old stop signs! Why are we afraid of putting those up?

He doesn’t want us to talk bad about him…but he continues to take away GOOD things (bike lanes, benches, and now maybe a crosswalk) without any other solutions.
I personally feel that we should not be putting big concrete balls in place of benches. Benches are great. Put the balls in places to protect people from traffic. www.nashvillescene.com/news/pithint...

What is the penalty for killing someone? What if a driver runs someone down in a marked crosswalk where the person crossing had the right of way under state law?
The DA's office calls that a misdemeanor, no more than $2,500 in fines, and he probably won't see jail time.
