I've been thinking a lot recently about the VT student who was tragically killed at this BT stop a few weeks ago, so I wanted to ask the StrongTowns - Blacksburg group:

If we want cleaner air in Blacksburg, we might take a look at some bold policy choices coming out of France!
- Adding bike lanes and green space
- Creating new pedestrian zones and banning most car traffic in the urban core / major shopping centers
- Eliminating 50,000 parking spaces 🤯
- Adding bike lanes and green space

In the last two years, Paris has transformed much of its roads and parking into green spaces, giving priority to people walking or cycling.
